all that glitters - glow

“not all that glitters is gold,”
she told the child.

“but the glittering,”
the child replied, 
“isn't that what makes 
gold good?”

she smiled, “yes,
but a shining surface 
doesn't always mean
what's underneath 
is good.” 

“you are like gold,”
the child said, as only 
a child could say: 
“you're pretty outside 
and on the inside you're
pretty good, too."
